Globe-Trotter Luggage
When it comes to luggage not many companies come close to Globe-Trotter. Globe-Trotter was established in 1897 by an Englishman in Germany and after four years the founder, David returned to the UK where the luggage is still produced today. In Globe-Trotter’s long history, their cases have been used by everyone from HM Queen Elizabeth II to Sir Winston Churchill.
The classic Globe-Trotter cases are still made by hand in England today, using the very same techniques, and even machinery which the cases are renowned for. To celebrate their 100th year anniversary they released the Centenary collection which became iconic overnight. The Centenary collection is made with a vulcanised fibreboard body, a material that was founded in the 1850’s and used as the primary material for the original cases since their introduction. The distinctive look that comes from the leather corners are developed over 5 days on Victorian presses.
