Highland Park Dark Origins

Highland Park founder Magnus Eunson was a minor church official by day and a smuggler night. He would smuggle whisky into Kirkwall and keep in his bothy on High Park, where the Highland Park distillery now stands. Inspired by Eunson’s Higland Park have released a new whisky that is a dark expression fitting in with the distillery’s origins.

Made by using 80% first fill sherry casks – 60% of which are European oak and 20% American Oak – and then 20% refill sherry casks, giving this whisky an undoubtedly darker and richer flavour. The 12 year old single malt is a superb addition to the Highland Park core expressions that delights and fills you with mischievous appreciation. If Magnus Eunson can smuggle whisky, we want to smuggle this wherever we go.
