COS × Agnes Martin- Guggenheim 2016

Born in Canada in 1912, Agnes Martin was an innovative painter who bridged the gap between Abstract Expressionist and Minimalist movements. Famed for her subtle and evocative canvases, her work influenced artists of her time and continues to inspire subsequently.

In honour of COS’ support of Agnes Martin at the Solomon R. Guggenheim museum in New York, they have created a limited-edition capsule collection inspired by the Martin’s work.

Drawing upon the artist’s use of line, colour and natural materials, the 12-piece collection features grid-like patterns, a neutral palette and tactile fabrics including linen and canvas. A portion of the proceeds from COS stores sales will be donated to the Agnes Martin Foundation.
