Joya x Hervé L. Leroux “Giroflée” Black Porcelain Candle

New York-based fragrance design studio; Joya, have teamed up with the legendary Hervé L. Leroux on a stunning matte black porcelain candle inspired by the fashion icon’s signature silhouette.

“Giroflée” is an ancient little flower with a powerful, spellbinding fragrance, captured in Hervé’s garden especially by Joya to create the top note of the scent. Jasmine petals, magnolia blossom, gardenia and tubéreuse have been selected for the heart. Musk and cedarwood represent the drydown.

The candle is hand-crafted in New York City by Joya exclusively for Hervé L Leroux and inspired by his draped creations. The idea of the bias cut edge seemed appropriate to avoid finger burning when relighting.

The House of Hervé L. Leroux was launched in 2000 by Mr. Hervé Leger, the fashion designer who invented the famous bandage dress in the late 1990’s. Hervé L. Leroux is based in Paris and renowned for his passion for the feminine form. His draped couture dresses are literally sculpted on the body.

Joya, founded in 2004 by Frederick Bouchardy in New York City, designs and manufactures fragranced goods. In addition to their own niche personal and home fragrance collections available selectively worldwide, Joya produces scented items for fashion and lifestyle brands of all kinds. The porcelain pieces are a constant collaboration with ceramic artist Sarah Cihat. Joya’s new atelier and website are coming soon.

The Joya x Hervé L. Leroux “Giroflée” candle is the first “signature” scent for the Hervé L. Leroux brand and launches exclusively at Alchemist (Miami), Henri Bendel (New York), Colette (Paris), Hervé L. Leroux (Paris), and online at AHAlife.comBeautyhabit.comcolette.fr and joyastudio.com.
