The Newest Ambassador for the Jaguar Academy of Sport – Rio Ferdinand

jaguar-academy-of-sport

I remember bumping into Rio Ferdinand a few years back in Leeds; an assured character, with a bit of a spring in his step, and a confident yet reserved manner. Back then he was playing for Leeds United who were in the Premiership at the time, now 8 (or so) years later he’s leading England to the World Cup in South Africa, and Leeds United are celebrating their return to the Championship. How things change.

Furthermore, Rio recently became an Ambassador for the Jaguar Academy of Sport; a commitment by Jaguar to recognise, celebrate and inspire the very best of British sporting talent. This comes as no surprise as Rio typifies the modern gentleman; successful, affluent, well presented yet still down to earth and socially aware. Rio joins other well known sportsmen such as Sir Ian Botham, David Beckham and Dame Kelly Holmes.

The Jaguar Sport Academy video shows us another side to Rio as he talks us through his World Cup survival guide; how he and the squad will relax during the tournament, what music he is into and who the troublemakers are on the England side.
