Derek Rose

Any company approaching 100 years in business is a safe bet that what they are producing is of worth. It’s an obvious statement to make, but it’s a particularly notable achievement when said company competes in a luxury market. Derek Rose, a family business of three generations, is such a business – crafting quality nightwear, loungewear and underwear.

Founded in 1926 by Lou Rose, Derek Rose’s father – with one aim; to create a brand unrivalled in luxury using the finest silks and cottons. Derek Rose joined the business in the 1950s and rebranded the company using his name. The brand seriously began to make waves from the mid-70s onwards, with a growing global fan base, acknowledged by a Queen’s Award for Export Achievement in 1987.

Since the early 1990s Mr Rose’s daughter Nancy and son Sacha have joined the business – both of whom appear to subscribe to the quality, design and subtly that the brand stands for. Quality from the the finest fabrics: cashmere, wool, silks and the best cottons, all designed in-house and exclusive to Derek Rose, through to their unique design and meticulous, specialist manufacturing techniques.
