GlossyBox for Men: Sample Luxury Grooming

Following on from the success of their first male only box in December 2011, GlossyBox have returned with their second box featuring a new range of luxury men’s grooming samples available via an online subscription service.
“GLOSSYBOX for Men is a box of 7 high-end deluxe samples delivered straight to your door every quarter”
The concept is one that seeks not to replace your existing grooming regime – they are sample quantities after all – but provide a cost effective way (£15.00 per box) of sampling what the men’s industry has to offer, periodically, and at a cost affordable to most men.
This Season’s GlossyBox for Men
- Kyoku for Men Sake Infused Shave Crème
- Liz Earle for Men Face Scrub
- The Organic Homme Active Fix Repair Serum by Green People
- Alum Matchsticks by Legends London
- Dr. Bronner Organic Hand Sanitizer
- FAB Gentle Body Wash
- 4711 Cologne
Though the products in the GlossyBox will vary, they will cover the essential grooming requirements from shaving, hair care, skincare, body care and fragrance.

I picked this up as my first box. Still undecided if its a good deal or not. Of the seven items I have no interest or need in two of them (Kyoku for Men Sake Infused Shave Crème and the Alum sticks) but the others were pretty good, the Fab Body Moisturiser was pretty good but I now know I wouldnt buy it (so job done) and I really liked the Liz Earle scrub and went straight off and bought some of the 4711 – I’ll get the next box and see how that is.
Personally I’d like them more than quarterly
also – the hand sanitiser – loved that!
Can anyone come with a convincing reason why anyone should be paying to receive samples? For the privilege of being aware that new high-end products on the market? Sorry, but the cosmetics industry’s marketing budgets worked fine last time i checked, and potential clients are well aware of any new product launch either through ad campains or through all sorts of specialists blogs. So paying for samples? No thanks…. We (luxury grooming customers) should not be paying a dime: it is the sellers who should make the initial investment in us to gain our loyalty and access to our wallets…
