Gentiquette: All Saints Salute the Working man

We’re all in a state of constant change 1, in various guises and at different speeds, but changing nonetheless.  As the ‘Summer’ (UK readers will empathise) signs off for another year, we find ourselves in the somewhat familiar season, although this Autumn has a different feel from those of years past; a feel of uncertainty and expectation.

As such the change is marked in the A/W collections, with a more sombre, honest look to the clothing. All Saints Autumn Winter collection sees softer silhouettes and hard wearing fabrics, styled together with an almost casual precision. Mens coats and knitwear are interchanged synonymously with their trademark leather jackets remaining a core feature of the collection. The boots have a more malleable look from previous collections as the styling takes a distinct step away from military and towards workman.

Even the look of model has changed; they say beards are sign that men are unhappy, but this winter they should be heralded as a symbol of honest endeavour, a sign of earnest graft. This Autumn sees the return of the workman.
