BOSS Orange Watches – Hands On

Back in October we wrote about the new BOSS Orange watch collection- noted for its casual, urban chic style. For those of you who live a laid-back lifestyle and or sporty existence, BOSS Orange Watches represent a fine option for affordable individuality.

The question has remained since though, does affordability come at the expense of quality? To answer this we got our hands on an oversized gentleman’s watch, with a stainless steel case quartz movement. Fitted with a silver metal bracelet and a handsome black dial, the quality isn’t in doubt.

With a case width of 50mm, and depth of 13mm it’s a sizeable beast- weighty in the hand on the wrist, further cementing thoughts of quality. Retailing at £150, and with a 2 year guarantee it’s fine piece of horological kit.

The casing and strap are solid, well made and crucially look stylish. We opted for a black face with signature BOSS Orange orange markers and hands. The face also includes a subtle BOSS Orange logo within, to distinguish it from other brands. The watch is water resistant to 30m or 3 ATM- should you decide to show some spontaneity and dive into the hotel pool or sea on holiday.

In conclusion, BOSS Orange have made a success of this collection- words such as mobility, passion are apt, and hark back to our original post where we related the brand to suitable for sportsmen, and gym goers. Perfect to throw on after a gym session, with a pair of jeans, sneakers and a casual shirt.
