Reports are suggesting that men’s hair styling brand Brylcreem, first produced in 1928 has been acquired along with the entire Sara Lee Corporation by Unilever. A cash deal reported to be worth €1.28bn sees the glossy, wet look shine of Brylcreem transferred into Unilever’s clutches along with other other Sara Lee brands; Sanex and Radox amongst others. The acquisition signals Unilever’s intent to grow into the personal care market.
