The New Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superlegerra

Today’s Friday Five begins with a remake of a modern classic, The New Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superlegerra. I could try and describe it to you, but I’ll let the video explain, it does a much better job than I could…

The floor beneath our Feet

Having braved a very cold winter this year, rugs have become evermore important in my thinking. There’s nothing better for your feet in the Winter than sinking your feet into a high quality rug, whilst taking a seat to enjoy the banalities on TV. As if by request, A Bathing Ape (BAPE) has released this very fitting rug based on their ‘Ape Face’ design. We need this in our Ape to Gentleman office, no where else would it feel so at home.

Linari – ANGELO DI FIUME

A tad on the opulent side, Linari Fragrances cater to Ape to Gentleman’s need for new, unusual fragrances and the ‘different’ bottles that contain them. While the fragrance itself sounds Gent-worthy, the ‘thing’ that really caught our interest was the bottle. I’ll let them explain:

The exceptionally minimised design of the heavy glass flacon, is made from the finest French glass. The extreme form of the bottle with the impressive thickness of its circular wall creates an immediately timeless, deconstructed design object of perfect symmetry. Decorated with three elegant black bands, the spaces between which are inlaid with a precious 22 carat gold plating. The exaggerated dimension of the exotic African wenge wood cap adopts the bottles form, mirroring the extreme diameter and the tripartite design. To underline the sculptural characteristics the wooden cap can also be seated under the bottle, creating an unusual optical effect.”

We’re still not entirely convinced that this fragrance was developed specifically for men (not that it matters nowadays), but does it really matter when the bottle looks that good…?

Already with a plethora of clothing ranges, Armani Casa (home) under his belt, this week Giorgio Armani has opened his first hotel in Dubai located in the tallest tower in the world The Burj Khalifa. The hotel is ingeniously named ‘Armani Hotel Dubai’… In the true manner of the man, the entire hotel was designed by Armani himself, down to the very last detail. The Armani hotel comprises of 160 guest rooms and suites each of which comes with a ‘lifestyle consultant’ – a personal concierge who handles all of a your recreation and relaxation needs (Calm down Gents). In addition, the Hotel also has eight restaurants, Armani Retail, and most importantly, an Armani Spa to allow you to get your grooming fix.
