Bespoke travel experts Black Tomato have teamed up with leading luxury brand for men, dunhill, to launch a series of classic journeys for today’s Gentlemen, inspired by the essence of both brands and the third dimension of luxury – the “experience.”
The partnership celebrates 80 years of the historic journey taken by Clement Court – the British born general manager of dunhill’s Rue de la Paix store in Paris – who scoured the world for the very finest objects. In 1930 he travelled overland from Europe to Japan, through Russia, Siberia, Mongolia and Korea to create an alliance with the Japanese Maki-e lacquer Namiki company.

In Paris Black Tomato have created a VIP tour, which goes behind the scenes of the city. This includes a rare opportunity to go backstage at the Lido Cabaret, which has hosted legendary performers such as Shirley Maclaine and Laurel & Hardy; a private tour of the Louvre by an art historian whilst the museum is closed and a night-time champagne cruise along the Seine in a private yacht. You will then be driven by vintage Mercedes to the Private champagne houses of Veuve Clicquot and Moet & Chandon champagne houses in Epernay for a private tasting and tour of their cellars and a gourmet lunch in the Veuve Clicquot chateau.
