Penhaligon’s, the fine English fragrance house founded in 1870, have announced that their Olfactory Owl will be touring London during December. The Owl, created in homage to their intricately illustrated Christmas Gift Boxes, will be appearing at various locations around London to spread some festive fragrant joy and offer exclusive discount vouchers and fragrance samples.
Dressed in Victorian finery, the Olfactory Owl will be travelling across London on foot and by tube and bus, taking in some of London’s iconic landmarks and shopping hotspots.
The Owl will be promoted via the Penhaligon’s Twitter and Facebook page and customers will be invited to submit pictures of the Olfactory Owl to win Christmas prizes. Gent’s can monitor the Owl’s progress by checking his schedule on Facebook and Twitter and by following the Owl’s tweets during his journeys.

The Penhaligon’s 2010 Christmas Collection features an array of eccentric animals and evokes an enchantingly British Christmas. The unique prints and rich colours that adorn each box have been created especially for Penhaligon’s and transform the traditional hat box into a modern and luxurious gift. Each gift is topped with a decadent over-sized velvet bow which doubles as a carrying handle. The hand-finished boxes contain a selection of Penhaligon’s products, from fine fragrance to complete grooming kits; there’s something for Gent’s, their Ladies’ and for the home.
