Fred Perry and Raf Simons have announced that they will be re-launching their definitive apparel collaboration. Belgian designer Raf Simons has worked with Fred Perry in the past, adding his contemporary minimalist styling to Fred Perry’s vintage designs. His style, often described as ‘tortured youth’, is inspired by mood and attitude – an approach that recently won him directorship at one of the most esteemed fashion houses, Christian Dior.
The new SS13 collection will be launched at Paris Men’s Fashion Week during July 2012 and will consist of 28 style and colour apparel options all inspired by the 1960’s Fred Perry collection.
“We are very excited to re-launch the collaboration with Fred Perry. We have great appreciation for the heritage of the brand as well as their dynamism in guiding the brand towards the future. Their openness to create synergies between both our brands will bring interesting, creative results”.
The first Raf Simons x Fred Perry collaboration ran from AW08 through to SS11 and garnered niche, global distribution within a number of key accounts.
