Oliver Spencer: Autumn/Winter ’13

Oliver Spencer knows how to create a collection that can effortlessly fit into your existing wardrobe. A confidence in his own philosophy and an assurance of knowing what he wants to do, transferred fluently into the casual tailoring created for the AW13 collection. There was a trusted combination of traditional outerwear and bold suiting bound together with refined detailing.

Red and blue hues featured heavily alongside mustard yellow and forest green, interspersed with cool greys. Bavarian wool was a key material used throughout, adding a lovely texture to the garments.

My particular favourite was a reddish boiled wool trouser, which flowed nicely as the model walked. The outerwear coats and jackets sat in a slightly boxy way, while trousers draped down well from the hip giving a graceful break above immaculate footwear.
