First thing first, I was sold on the name – any product with ‘Magic’ in its name has to be worth testing. Digging a little deeper, it appears Magic translates to a less is more type of wizardry – something I’m more than okay with. Far from being an organic this, natural that campaigner – the lack of petrochemicals and so forth, found in most cheap products available on the shelves at Boots and supermarkets which aren’t great for your skin or your insides, is a good thing.

The Egyptian Magic formula was created thousands of years ago in the land of the Pharaohs and more recently, Egyptian Magic have been blending this all-natural skin cream made from just six of nature’s most powerful moisturising and healing ingredients for the last 20 years.

Egyptian Magic is “all purpose”, meaning it can be used anywhere on the body, and on any body – from babies to adults. The success of Egyptian Magic hasn’t been paid for with a multi-million Egyptian Pound advertising budget, it has been achieved through word of mouth. The list of reported fans is endless and includes supermodels, a-list celebrities and even doctors.

The Juice

Egyptian Magic is made of Honey, Beeswax, Olive Oil, Royal Jelly, Bee Pollen and Bee Propolis. That’s it, there are no additives, preservatives, fragrances, chemicals or parabens, and the uses for the ‘balm’ are endless;

a face cream, an eye gel, a hair masque, burn and wound relief, a baby cream, a shaving balm and anything else you can think of.

I used it as a night cream to boost moisture into my skin.

Egyptian Magic reminded me a little of Yu-Be, the famous moisturising cream from Japan. Warm a very small amount between your fingers to turn the balm more fluid – then apply directly to a clean face. It delivers excellent hydration, and is more suited towards normal, dry and sensitive skin types. If you have oily skin, I would advise against its use. It was also good as a healing and nourishing after-shave balm.

To conclude, Egyptian Magic is a winner and a triumph of simple, wholesome ingredients.
