Brothers James and Thom Elliot, founders of  Pizza Pilgrims, began their pilgrimage by setting off to Italy to discover the true art of pizza making. Converting their humble Piaggio Ape van into a mobile kitchen travelling around Italy cooking and learning as they went along. The pair brought back with them a taste of Italy with their Napoli inspired street food. Now the pair have opened up their very own restaurant in the heart of  Soho, London.

“Street food will always big a big part of what we do. However, after 18 months with the wind blowing through our kitchen – it is really exciting to have our own 4 walls. A proper home…”

Cosy and comfortable, the pizzeria boasts a glorious brick oven and has a friendly dining area that allows for sit downs as well as relaxed social mingling. The menu is simple, featuring some of the street van favourites such as the classic Neapolitan Margherita, Portobello mushroom and smoked garlic oil, spicy Nduja sausage, as well as other new additions.

They recently launched their first book, Pizza Pilgrims: Recipes from the Backstreets of Italy, which is available now in hardback and special iPad edition. To celebrate the pizzeria’s launch, the iPad edition will be available for under £5 for a limited time from the iBook Store.

Pizza Pilgrims restaurant is located at 11 Dean St, London, W1D 3RP.
