With the weather improving, and the sun blazing (for the most part) it’s time to re-consider your moisturiser. During winter, we need thicker and more hydrating potions but during the warmer, more humid months with no intensely drying central heating it’s worth investing in a good oil-free moisturiser.

They’re quick to absorb and leave no oily/ greasy film, and will provide more than sufficient hydration during the spring/ summer. Look out for key words such as mattifying or lightweight. Here are three of the best:

The Budget Option

ManCave Moisturiser is made with a whole host of natural ingredients including Borage Oil and Shea Butter to hydrate and soothe. It includes some token protection from the sun i.e. not full sun protection, but that’s acceptable for a daily moisturiser, you’ll also notice the effects of caffeine which refreshes and mattifies skin.

Mid-Range with SPF

US brand Anthony Logistics deliver the superb Oil Free Facial Lotion SPF 30. It’s lightweight and absorbs almost immediately (seriously). The best part, it includes SPF 30 to protect your skin on a daily basis from the sun and related ageing. It’s worth noting however, if you’re on holiday sunbathing you should wear a dedicated sunscreen. Perfect for all skin types, including sensitive.

The Handsome One

The Malin+Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer is excellent; formulated for all skin types especially sensitive- it absorbs instantly and without residue. The gentle and soothing formula effectively hydrates and ph balances the skin without blocking the pores. There’s no SPF within, but M+G do offer an SPF version, which is also good. The consistency throughout the moisturiser, and style wise outside makes this a great choice.
