Hennessy Celebrates 250 Years

This year sees the world’s most loved cognac house, Hennessy, celebrate its 250 Anniversary.

To toast this extraordinary milestone Hennessy have released a signature blend of exceptional eaux-de-vies selected from Hennessy’s Founder’s Cellar, built in 1774 and acquired by Hennessy in 1850 for the purposes of maturation –  a balanced equilibrium between power and grace. A bright, warm shade of amber, this cognac is of great distinction and intensity.

There are just 250 barrels of the Collector’s Blend, each one containing 250 litres of this extraordinary cognac.

Each bottle is presented as an elegant crystal decanter created by glassware designer Stéphanie Balini. The decanter is a sleek and contemporary take on the classic Hennessy shape bottle.

This year Hennessy created its very own digital time – the Hennessy 250 ‘Time Barrel’ was installed at St Pancras International station, London, inviting travellers and shoppers to visit the Barrel and leave their message for the future. Sealed at the end of this month Hennessy have decided it will not be opened again until 2065, where the messages will then be shared with the future generation.
