The Great Phantasmagorical Excursion

Hendrick’s Gin, the handcrafted gin-brand distilled in the small fishing village of Girvan, Scotland and uniquely made with infusions of Cucumber and Rose petals has taken inspiration from the research of literary aficionado Edgar Allan Poe. Looking into the wondrous state of hypnagogia, Hendrick’s have created a phonic journey of peculiar imaginings by harnessing the power of sound.

I’m not 100% certain why, but there is a palpable emotional connection to Hendrick’s Gin in the Ape office, probably because a.) it’s delicious and b.) a fun brand. The Great Phantasmagorical Excursion is just that, and using a selection of specially crafted audio-inductions, they aim to transport listeners on a host of curious journeys of the imagination – traversing the celestial cosmos, travelling to Jatinga in the belly of a horned plumier and flying a kite in susurrus winds with Grandmother- with Excursion Leader is Mr. Ulysses Atherton-Coraldaton.

Those wishing to get involved and travel the breadth of the country will have their brainwaves and cerebral activity monitored using EEG, to reveal a detailed depiction of the imaginations private ponderings for all to view on a built in portal.

Clearly, these are fictitious cerebral explorations but it sounds like a fun and unique excursion. From now guests can visit www.HendricksExcursion.co.uk and sign up to The Great Phantasmagorical Excursion. The excursion itself will open to avid explorers in November. The experience is free and requires just a pair of headphones and a webcam.

Hendrick’s Gin is priced at an RRP of £28.09 for 70cl bottle (ABV 41.4%). Stockists include Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Peckham’s, Harvey Nichols, and all good public houses across our green and pleasant land.
