Universal Works SS16
Inspired by a range of influences including mid-20th century textile design, Edwardian floor tiles and Wes Anderson films, Universal Works has created their Spring/Summer ’16 collection with a tonal colour palette of navy, camel, white, and grey with a handful of bright contrasts. Seasonal geometric patterns can be found throughout with overdyed scout style patches. True to the Universal Works spirit they maintain an understated and honest approach to simple and timeless clothing with soul.
The result is a coherent and wearable collection. Soft, unstructured tailoring is matched with comfortable, washed luxury jersey, fine knits as well as printed and garment dyed shirting. The silhouette is loose and contemporary with subtle military details and the revived and continued interest Universal Works has in blue-collar workwear.
