Maison Pierre Marcolini x AMI- The Barre2 Chocolat

Fashion brand AMI, founded by Alexandre Mattiussi and popular for it’s laid-back aesthetic have announced a rather unusual collaboration with Maison Pierre Marcolini, a pioneer in Haute Chocolaterie. The duo are taking chocolate gifting to new levels.

The Chocolate Box

A box of chocolates with a twist; depicting the narrow, winding streets and newspaper kiosks of Paris, and the Butte Montmartre set against a backdrop of signature AMI white-and-black stripes. The box resembles a 1950s television, and within; a pop-up Parisian scene featuring Pierre in front of his store and Alexandre perched on his scooter.

The Chocolate Within

The chocolate within known as Barre2 Chocolat is an indulgent nod to the chocolate bars of yesteryear, and a blend of softness and crunch.

  • Caramel with a hint of vanilla: soft caramel, given a lift with vanilla and sea salt, joins a hazelnut pra-line crisp and roasted hazelnut shavings, all coated in Maison dark chocolate.
  • Gianduja twist: almond praline gianduja, hazelnut and hazelnut shavings, praline crisp and sea salt, all coated in Maison milk chocolate and finished with cocoa powder.
  • One of the Maison’s signature collections: 9 Pralinés Anciens d’Aujourd’hui- a series of classic pra-lines given the Marcolini treatment- with their nutty flavours and surprising, playful textures.

Priced at £45, the assorted box comes with an essential tote bag- and is available now from all Maison Pierre Marcolini stores in Europe.
