A.P.C. x Outdoor Voices

A.P.C. – the masters of mastering the basics, have collaborated with active lifestyle brand Outdoor Voices to create a collection for when the sports world meets the urban.

Outdoor Voices have a solid reputation for their knowledge of fabrics- Tyler Haney of Outdoor Voices works directly with mills to create fabrics that work with the body throughout various states of exercise. Rooted inherently in functionality, the collection utilises a range of technical materials, including a double-woven stretch crepe that wicks sweat and repels the elements, a versatile textured compression that regulates body temperature and is as flattering as it is functional, and a seamless woven construction for unhindered stretch and motion.

Most of the shapes and styles are taken from the popular Outdoor Voices items- such as the running sweatpants, which are neither legging nor jogger and make the perfect running trousers.

Standard sportswear colour-ways are avoided and replaced by sophisticated hues and a camouflage print. Navy, synonymous with A.P.C., is seen throughout, as is anthracite, khaki and grey melange.

Being activewear, the focus is clearly on functionaility but not forgotten- the grey area between gym life and everyday life- be it on your way to a sports activity, cooling down, or socialising after.

We like the heavy weight nep jersey in a sweatshirt and bottoms and in general, the two brands promoting an all-around more active lifestyle. The collection is available from matchesfashion.com now.
