Merrell Heritage Collection
Outdoor footwear specialists Merrell, renowned for its specialist hiking footwear have rejuvenated some of its ‘classic’ styles with a modern twist. Named the Heritage Collection- the range of men’s footwear in a variety of new styles are decidedly more ‘hipster’ than hiker; whilst still providing all the functionality and practicality of a comfortable, hi-tech walking shoe.
The fresh and stylish look are perfect for accompanying any gentleman on an inner-city ‘hike’. We trialled two styles; the Eagle: a fresh, colourful, modernised take on a traditional hiking boot style, complete with lace enclosure and heel air cushion. They were practical and versatile delivering the traction and support you expect from a hiker but with additional retro vintage style.
The second pair, the Solo: designed with more of an athletic-inspired shoe construction, but with running shoe comfort. Solo combines classic tones with pops of neon giving them a modern edge.
Hats off to Merrell for its new Heritage Collection- an offering clearly based on Merrell’s forte- outdoor footwear but updated with modern day styling and colourways. We envisage urbanites trekking the streets of London or another busy concrete jungle in absolute comfort, one thing which really stuck out for us, but crucially with style- something many outdoor companies have failed to achieve- until now.
