Jaguar E-PACE – The SUV with Sports Car Looks

Jaguar’s new E-PACE is a spacious, practical all-wheel drive SUV with a twist: it also packs the punch and performance of Jag’s much sportier F-Type.

The influence of the F-Type on this SUV is clear from the outset; the snarling grille, short overhangs, and optional 21-inch alloy wheels give the E-PACE a bold and purposeful demeanour.

Don’t assume this is a car with a bark bigger than its bite, though. Under the bonnet, the 300PS Ingenium petrol turbo engine powers E-PACE from 0-60mph in just 5.9 seconds before reaching an electronically-limited top speed of 151mph. Or, if you value efficiency over power, the front-wheel drive 150PS Ingenium diesel delivers CO₂ emissions of 124g/km.

When you’ve finally had enough of putting your foot down, the next-generation touchscreen infotainment system gives you the ability to connect to your favourite apps, such as Spotify, and there are also up to four 12-volt charging points and five USB connections as well as a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot for up to eight devices.

The large 12.3-inch full colour TFT driver display and Head-Up Display means drivers never take their eyes off the road, which is particularly helpful when making use of the all-wheel drive Jaguar’s lightweight suspension architecture, all-wheel drive, active driveline and torque vectoring to power over off-road surfaces.

For customers who want their E-PACE to truly live up to its sporty reputation, the R-Dynamic model is the best option to go for. A unique front bumper provides deeper outboard air intakes, and the sports-style seats with new shoulder profiles and deeper bolsters further emphasise this motor’s deceptive wild side.
