On Reflection | The Grand Journey x Bombay Sapphire
You may have noticed across our social channels and here on Ape to Gentleman we’ve been working with Bombay Sapphire. The purpose; to convey the unique botanicals within Bombay Sapphire, and how they give this famous gin its flavour profile. The story centres around ‘A Gin of Ten Journeys’ which relates to the ten botanicals within Bombay Sapphire: Juniper Berries, Grains of Paradise, Almonds, Lemon Peel, Cuceb Berries, Coriander Seeds, Angelica Root, Cassia Bark, Orris Root and Liquorice.
As you’ll know; the best way to learn is through experience. We can see all the beautifully produced TV adverts, print features, online content and such like but nothing substitutes experience. And to convey the work put in to creating a superbly balanced gin, Bombay Sapphire let us into their world. Our journey began with a visit to the Bombay Sapphire distillery in Laverstoke where we learned and experienced the level of detail, in particular, the Master of Botanicals, Ivano Tonutti goes to, to ensure Bombay Sapphire has it’s unique and delicious flavour.
