Anthony Logistics Algae Facial Cleanser is an intriguing one, for obvious reasons – the clue is in the title, it contains Algae! I suspect that the amount of people who have been put off by the ‘Algae’ doesn’t outweigh those who have tried it courtesy of intrigue. Those who have tried it, I’m sure, will have liked it. Those who chose a more mundane offering labelled something like ‘Liquid Face Wash’ will almost certainly have missed out.
It’s certainly in the mid to high price bracket for a face wash but as always, you get what you pay for. This daily face wash is highly concentrated which means a little goes a long, long way. It’s aimed at normal to dry skin types and is also excellent at calming, being gentle and thoroughly cleansing sensitive skin.
The reason for my fondness of the Anthony Logistics Algae Facial Cleanser is importantly, the ingredients within. It genuinely has Algae Extract, yep, honestly! This is great for cleansing and refreshing your skin, and no doubt the cause of the funky bright blue/green colour of the cleanser. The Algae Extract is backed up with more ‘common’ but equally useful ingredients such as Aloe Vera to help heal and ease irritations. Azulene, Lavender and Rose Hip Oil in abundance leave your skin calmed and soothed. Finally, Glycerin is employed to keep skin hydrated – a key ingredient in a good cleanser, which translated means your skin will feel quenched after cleansing as opposed to cheap alternatives which can leave skin drier than the Mojave Desert.
If you have oilier skin I would recommend cleansing with the Anthony Glycolic Facial Cleanser but if you lean more to normal/dry or even sensitive then give the Anthony Logistics Algae Facial Cleanser a try, you won’t be disappointed.
