Strange but good are my first thoughts; the Konjac Sponge is made with 100% natural konjac fibre a vegetable grade fibre from the root of the Amorphophallus konjac plant.
Popular in East Asia and the US, the sponge with a net like structure gently massages and exfoliates skin while stimulating blood flow and encouraging growth of new skin cells.
There are four types, an original for all skin types a French clay in various guises to match skin types, specifically noted for its exfoliating abilities and Charcoal Bamboo for those with oily and spot prone skin. Finally, one for babies designed for delicate skin.
The sponge itself is strange; soft, squishy (if that’s even a word) and always moist. Wet the sponge prior to use and wipe your face with it, you can use your normal cleanser in addition to create a rich lather but I used the sponge alone. It feels great on the skin and my favourite part; it’s very light and gentle but thoroughly exfoliating – a balance almost impossible to find. A rejuvenating and refreshing treat for the face.
