Monocle Scent Two: Laurel (following on from Monocle Scent One: Hinoki) was created by Antoine Maisondieu, Senior Perfumer at flavor & fragrance conglomerate Givaudan. Laurel is Monocle’s second fragrance in collaboration with Comme des Garcons. Inspired by a trip to the Bekaa Valley, it’s a fresh, clean scent that has warm laurel notes. Where as Hinoki was a dry, woody-fresh scent,  Laurel is more minimalist and exotic featuring Bay Laurel, pepper, cedar, patchouli, incense and amber; reminiscent of Lebanon’s hand-made laurel soaps and fragrant gardens in Byblos.
