Darker, moodier, rich shades of oxblood, navy and jade against foundations of ivory and charcoal- these are the elements of Saturdays NYC AW16 collection.

The New York surf brand have upped their game with improved fabrics and treatments yet maintained their classic Saturdays style. The popular Panos pant for example is updated in Japanese wool. Pima cotton tees, heavy French terry sweats and oxford shirting are garment-dyed allowing for richer colour and subtle variations. Saturdays have also introduced cashmere blend sweaters in varying weight, including the new Lee silhouette, a mid-weight crewneck style.

Standouts for Ape include the Nathan fishtail parka with removable liner, the Morgan bonded-wool top coat, and the Prima Loft category, including a reversible, collarless jacket and vest. The Polar Fleece category, also new this season is inspired by vintage clothing, such as the Viktor full zip inspired by bomber flight jackets. There is a variety of button down shirts, denim, trousers, tees, shorts and accessories, to make up a the staples of the the collection.

Saturdays have included two new ‘all weather’ footwear options- a versatile Rick boot and an updated Ali oxford, both in coated leather with a lug sole. The popular Vass and Derek leather sneaker styles feature a marble sole detail this season, while the classic Jay, Vass and Mike sneakers are available in ivory, black and grey suedes. The addition of a new ‘Low’ version of the Mike sneaker concludes the footwear offering. Pebbled leather and waxed suede zip pouches, wallets and cardholders in white, black, burgundy and grey further enhance the Saturdays NYC AW16 range.
