2017 also marks the 40th year of Jonathan Jones’ service as managing director of the brand, continuing the tradition of Crockett and Jones being a brand run by the family that founded it, and making them Northampton’s last remaining family-owned and family-run shoe manufacturer.

When Mr. Jones joined the brand in 1977, he was tasked with saving Crockett & Jones, and his family’s 100 year heritage, from closure. Since then, the footwear manufacturer has slowly but surely been nurtured back to prominence, and is today recognised as a well respected luxury heritage brand.

To commemorate both of these anniversaries, three styles which featured in the very first retail collection have been remodelled for the present day. Their Connaught, Cavendish and Chelsea have been remade using the finest tan antique calf skins available anywhere in the world, and hand polished and burnished to bring out their natural depth of colour.

Bark tanned leather soles with the original 90s logo and sole finishing complete a capsule collection that pays homage to the continued story of an historic brand.
