8 Savile Row based Hardy Amies has always been a well thought of tailoring brand but the last year as seen its grow exponentially, primarily due to the quality and style of its most recent collections.
The Hardy Amies Autumn/ Winter 2017 collection is no different, it’s superb in fact- with a focus on the fit and construction of each individual garment in the tailoring and shirt ranges. Fabrication and finishing is key, and both soft and modern. Generally we see a clean and relaxed, with a lighter weight element look.
Fluid wools and cashmeres are present throughout the collection, with washed and unstructured styles in shirting. There are key items across day to evening wear, technical features in travel suiting and casual outerwear pieces that function to support the tailoring.
Knitwear and jersey continues to grow as a signature underpinning to the Hardy Amies look and supports a tailored lifestyle element. A nod to militarism is evident, with a restrained colour palette and military details. Motifs, such as the pin stripe and window pane check, are incorporated throughout.
