Orlebar Brown – Autumn/Winter 2017 Collection

For their Autumn/Winter 2017 Collection, Orlebar Brown envisioned the final stages of the fading summer sun gently blending into the sky as warm autumnal hues are cast across the sea.

Inspired by stylish seafarers, their colour choices are designed to capture both the spirit of the sea and the romance of the late autumn evenings, and translate onto a beach ready wardrobe to help you navigate the cooler months.

The colour palette is interspersed by hazard orange which, offers an energetic contrast across the collection. Cloud, ice and cinder are drawn from the natural brushstrokes of light and clouds in the sky, the gentle marbling of the water and early morning mists, evoking the mystery of the sea.

Strong geometric contrasts of the Fiya and tricolour Barthmann patterns bring further energy to the range, while the Ocean’s edge photographic print captures a natural aquatic palette.

Key standouts in the collection include the Addley sailing jacket— one of Orlebar Brown’s most technical outerwear pieces to date, the versatile Nielson tee which combines a funnel neck and long sleeves in pure Merino wool and the Morton button- through shirt in piqué.

This season, waffle cotton has been championed across knits, shorts and sweatpants and also introduced super wools which feature finer, more tightly woven fibres with an exceptional finish.
