Paul Smith x Caran d’Ache 849 Pen

Following their collaboration in 2015, Paul Smith and Caran d’Ache are reconciling to release a second edition of their unique pen collection. The latest edition offers 8 new colour variations of the popular Caran d’Ache 849 pen; inspired by the signature Paul Smith stripe- used throughout his AW16 collection.

It’s unique hexagonal body combined with an ultra thin case has made the Caran’d’Ache 849 one of the brands most popular pens since 1969. Paul Smith originally teamed up with the brand to create a range of limited edition pens to celebrate its 100 anniversary. The second collaboration will see the same classic pen re-imagined in bold colours such as racing green, peacock blue and rose pink. Available both individually and or as part of a stylish boxset.

“I’ve been using Caran d’Ache pens for a very long time so when they asked me to help them celebrate their special birthday last year by working together on some designs, I was delighted to accept. I’m really pleased to be working with them again on some new pens, this time the colours take inspiration from one of my famous stripes.” -Paul Smith

Here is a simple case of ‘iconic fashion label meets luxury writing implement brand to create a stylish pen for the modern gentleman’… so whats not to like? Individual editions of the Caran d’Ache 849 pen as well as the boxset are available now with prices starting from £35 RRP.
