Saturdays NYC – Autumn/Winter 2017 Collection

Saturdays NYC draws influence from the Bronze Age, gilding techniques, and the first generation of working-class, post-war youth for its Autumn/Winter 2017 Collection.

Key colorways featured throughout the collection include metallics such as bronze and patinated colours like mint, and the styling of the wintry range balances boxy silhouettes with sharp tailoring and unconventional fabrications.

New styles include the quilted Nazar Vest and Nazar Jacket, both featuring a mock neck—and the Gavin Quarter Zip Pullover, which is made from 100% recycled cotton.

Premium fabrics such as cashmere and alpaca make an appearance in several pieces, including the 100% cashmere boucle Everyday Sweater and the chunky Miguel Waffle Knit Sweater.

Updated pant styles include the Gordy and the new corduroy Field Pants. The Clyde Trench is given a sleek transformation through the use of a highly-dense, knitted nylon polyester microfiber—providing a velvety hand feel and allowing it to sculpt itself onto the wearer’s body over time. The Nathan Parka also makes a return with a more structured look and a triple-layer construction of nylon and cotton.

Wool is incorporated into several categories this season. Silk-blend wool adds a lustrous, metallic sheen to the Dimitri Popover shirt and the pleated Keigo Shorts, while an angora-wool French Terry fabric transforms the Ditch Hoodie, Ken Sweat Shorts and the new Eric Pullover into luxe loungewear.

Prominent prints featured throughout the collection include the Rocco print and Gingko print, which pull inspiration from Moroccan architecture and the traditionally lucky Ginkgo Leaf respectively.
