TAG Heuer Connected Watch

TAG Heuer have unveiled their first smart watch, called Connected, the 155-year-old luxury watch company turned to its classic Carrera for inspiration. However tapped into Google for its Android Wear software and Intel for its sensors and processing.

They went with a large sized watch – 46.2mm across and 12.8mm thick – currently available only for men. They have since announced that a women’s version is in the making, but for now the men’s only watch is available. TAG Heuer Connected watch is the perfect partner. It brings together the best of both worlds: a magnificent TAG Heuer watch with computing intelligence.

It looks like a familiar, traditional watch. Sporting three faces: a chronograph, a traditional three-hand face and a GMT face option, the watch is modelled after the Carrera from the ’60s.

A quick swipe over the watch face takes you to the apps, texting features and even Google maps. Despite all this and Google voice recognition, it’s hard to compare the conventional looking TAG Heuer Connected to other smart watches available. TAG Heuer didn’t set out to build a smart watch, simply a smarter TAG Heuer watch.
