The Concept A-CLASS show car embodies the vision of the next generation of Mercedes-Benz; to celebrate, photographer Terry Richardson has turned the spotlight on the Concept A-CLASS. Top model Jessica Stam poses on the roof, lending a further dimension to the tremendous dynamism of the Concept A-CLASS. The daring black dress with lace sleeves and details made from feathers is a creation by Giles Deacon for Emanuel Ungaro.
With the Concept A-CLASS, Mercedes-Benz is offering a glimpse of a new generation of compact cars. Expressive design on the exterior creates fascination, while the interior’s technical innovation and pioneering functionality are awe-inspiring. In his portrayal of the key visual, Terry Richardson literally crowns this distinctive study with Jessica Stam. The pose, the hair, the make-up, the dress by Giles Deacon for Emanuel Ungaro radiate the palpable eroticism for which the star photographer is famed. The artistic lighting and composition also give the image the energy of instinctive movement.
“We came up with the theme of ‘accelerate the pulse’ for Mercedes-Benz’s Spring/Summer 2012 fashion commitment; Terry Richardson has created a truly successful reflection of this with his motif. It symbolises passion and extrovertness and portrays the Mercedes-Benz Concept A-CLASS as the first vision of a young and progressive generation.” – Anders Sundt Jensen, Vice President Brand Communications Mercedes-Benz
The visual will be premiered at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in July 2011, illustrating the company’s commitment to fashion and representing a synergy of fashion and automotive technology.
