Nike Won 2024 Football Kits

The 2024 international football kits are out, and daft St George’s Cross emblem hysteria aside, we’re giving this year’s victory to Nike. Adidas ran them close, with Belgium, Germany and Scotland home kits the best of a minimally designed bunch. The less said about Italy, the better.

Nike, on the whole, both home and away, nailed a more aesthetically pleasing selection, with sharper collars, an elevated take on traditional home colours and off-piste designs for away kits. France away, Croatia home and Portugal away are our picks.

Leica SL3 Camera

The Leica SL3 is out and it’s an instant design classic. Sleek and handsome, it’s the sort of camera to be seen with.

Unsurprisingly, the image quality is outstanding, delivering superior detail in three resolutions thanks to a full-frame sensor with Triple Resolution Technology. Three different technologies ensure pin-sharp images with the help of an innovative hybrid autofocus system and settings can be changed effortlessly thanks to a high-res tiltable display.

Lighter and more compact than previous models, it’s as stylish and well-made as a point-and-shoot gets. We want one.

Progress Running Club, Spitalfields

At a time when many of the best independent menswear stores of yesteryear have been bought up by larger entities, it’s comforting to see a new one pop up with a bit of a community surrounding it.

Progress Running Club is a hybrid running and menswear store in the heart of London’s Spitalfields, next door to St John Bread and Wine. Stocking the likes of Barbour, Portuguese Flannel and Kestin alongside Saucony, Karhu and Mizuno, the lads know their way around a waxed jacket as well as they do a PB-beating running shoe.

Keep an eye on their socials for events and a weekly running club.

Maserati GranCabrio

Maserati has launched one of the most striking roadsters of recent years with the GranCabrio. Raw, track-bred engineering meets Italian elegance for a fast, innovative and comfortable grand tourer.

A V6 3.0-L twin-turbo Nettuno engine is positioned low, with a weight concentration at the centre of the chassis for ideal weight distribution and ferocious speed. Inside the cockpit, there’s a stylish heads-up display, digital journey companion and award-winning Sonos Faber sound, with four different drive modes to suit any trip that ignites your imagination.

We’re dreaming of windswept drives along the Cinque Terre.

A Gentleman In Moscow

It’s been well-received by the critics and having watched the first episode of A Gentleman in Moscow this weekend, we’re excited to see more.

Based on the bestselling novel by Amor Towles, Ewan McGregor plays Count Alexander Ilyich Rostov, a Russian aristocrat forced to live under house arrest within the Metropol Hotel as part of Russian Revolutionary crackdowns. Both McGregor’s acting performance and moustache are excellent, with equally impressive stage sets and costumes.

There’s something about stories set in hotels that make them difficult to resist.

Torabhaig Single Malt – Cnoc Na Moine

Dram of the month comes courtesy of Skye distillery, Torabhaig. The distillery’s Cnoc Na Moine peated single malt is the third instalment of their legacy series, with an expression that ventures into new territories with the debut use of sherry casks.

A testament to the distillery’s continuous evolution and unyielding commitment to craftsmanship, Cnoc Na Moine (which translates as ‘hill of peat’) is matured in a distinctive combination of Bourbon American Oak, Oloroso, and Pedro Ximenez casks, marrying the distillery’s robust calling card peatiness with rich sherry notes.

The results are an elevated complexity and notable richness in each sip.

It’s difficult not to have a soft spot for Nigel Cabourn. He’s like British menswear’s cool grandad, almost ageless with his enthusiasm and timeless youthful style. He’s also a man who loves collaboration, and his latest one delivers a mixture of heritage fabric innovation and military gym wear.

Featuring striped pocket tees, a ripstop army jacket, shorts, joggers, henleys and even a sneaker, Sunspel x Nigel Cabourn blends the best of both brands with the finest materials meeting Cabourn’s love of detailing and vintage military apparel.

Sun Day Red

Tiger Woods wearing that red polo on a Sunday is an image etched into golfing history. It is an iconic sporting uniform as identifiable as Beckham in Predators or Tyson in black shorts. Tiger’s mother, Kultida, saw red as a symbol of strength and dominance, and her son’s victories confirmed those beliefs.

That red polo has inspired the Sun Day Red brand – the next era of Tiger Woods redefining golf, this time with apparel and footwear. Details still remain guarded, but Tiger has already debuted the shoes, and the apparel looks equally promising.

We can’t wait to give it a spin on the course. Watch for him wearing it in this year’s PGA Tour.
