Let’s explore how to make July your most stylish, successful and satisfying month yet.
Detrash Sunny Daze
Ethical watch company Detrash wants to make trash desirable. Developed at the brand’s Dorset headquarters, its watches transform recycled materials into genuinely covetable pieces, encouraging a rethink about how we use and value everyday resources.
Detrash’s limited releases combine expert craftsmanship with playful, contemporary design, giving recycled steel and recovered ocean plastic a second life. The Sunny Daze is a perfect example. Inspired by the brand’s sold-out Likemania model, this 41mm automatic dive watch features a dependable Seiko NH35 movement, 200m water resistance and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
Better still, a portion of proceeds goes towards environmental charities, making it a watch that does a little good as well as looking the part.
St. Regis x Drake’s
Father’s Day has very much been and gone, but we couldn’t let this limited-run collaboration between St. Regis and Drake’s slip under the radar. Created to mark the announcement of the new St. Regis London, opening next autumn, the capsule brings together two brands synonymous with timeless elegance.
The four-piece collection includes a green silk tie lifted from an archival Drake’s pattern, a handsome champagne-bottle-motif silk pocket square, a vintage-inspired baseball cap, and an elegant silk-blend bandana.
They’re the sort of accessories that quietly elevate a wardrobe without shouting for attention, making them ideal gifts all year round or simply a worthwhile addition to your own rotation.
Futsol
Perfectly timed to coincide with the World Cup, football-inspired menswear label Futsol has launched a new collection and, unlike many of the recent football fashion cash-grabs, this one has genuine heart.
As the brand puts it, it’s “less about the jersey as a standalone statement and more about a full range of menswear”, using football culture as a starting point rather than the entire conversation.
Vintage shirt references are there, of course, but so too are the colours, textures and patterns that made those classic kits memorable in the first place.
We’re particularly taken with the long-sleeve blue Le Roi and red Il Toro jerseys, while the irresistible 70s-inspired Ringer tees feel destined for a long summer of pub gardens and tournament football.
Patina Sunglasses
Belfast-based design studio Patina has built a reputation by doing interesting things with recycled waste textiles, and now it’s turning that same thoughtful approach towards eyewear. The result is a pair of sunglasses that look as good as the thinking behind them.
The brand’s new Terra frames are crafted from M49, an innovative bio-based acetate developed by renowned Italian manufacturer Mazzucchelli 1849.
By replacing traditional plasticisers with plant-derived alternatives, the material reduces reliance on fossil fuels without compromising on strength, finish or longevity.
Available in black and tortoiseshell, the sunglasses feature UV400 nylon lenses and robust five-barrel hinges. Sustainable, understated and built to last.
Osprey Duro Pro 10 Running Vest
Looking to tackle your first ultra this summer? Osprey’s Duro Pro 10 deserves a place on your shortlist. The outdoor specialist has poured plenty of research and development into this latest running vest, combining lightweight, hard-wearing materials with a design that prioritises comfort over long distances.
Everything has been carefully considered. The vest sits securely without bouncing, the soft flasks are easy to reach without catching your stride, and the intelligently positioned pockets make grabbing nutrition and layers second nature.
Add in a spacious main compartment and Osprey’s trademark build quality, and you have a vest that’s equally suited to race day and long training adventures. Most importantly, it looks the part too.
Casa Orendain Tequila
Tequila is our spirit of choice this month, and Casa Orendain’s recently launched 100% agave range comes with a fascinating history.
Founded in 1926 by brothers Don Eduardo Orendain González and Roberto Orendain, the family is regarded as one of tequila’s great names, with production still rooted firmly in traditional methods.
All three expressions in the new collection — Blanco, Reposado and Cristalino — are produced using traditional stone ovens before being distilled and matured with the care you’d expect from a century-old producer.
The Cristalino is our pick of the trio, balancing gentle vanilla, soft oak and bright agave character in a remarkably smooth finish. Excellent in a carefully made Margarita, but equally rewarding sipped slowly on its own.
The Odyssey
Christopher Nolan is back with what promises to be the epic of all epics. The Odyssey, his adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek tale of Odysseus’ long journey home following the Trojan War, is reportedly one of the most ambitious films of the director’s career and the first feature to be shot entirely using IMAX’s latest 70mm film cameras.
Matt Damon leads the cast as Odysseus, with Anne Hathaway as Penelope, while Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Tom Holland, Lupita Nyong’o and Zendaya join an ensemble that reads like a Hollywood all-star team.
Nolan has built a reputation for making cinema feel like an event, and this looks no different. Book the biggest screen you can find and we’ll see you at the first available morning showing.
In cinemas 17 July.
Come Undone by Eddie Huang
We’ve been fans of Eddie Huang’s creative output ever since his Fresh Off the Boat days at VICE. Since then he’s somehow found time to make television series, direct a feature film, produce a documentary, launch a podcast and Substack, revive Baohaus and establish himself as one of the most distinctive voices in modern food and culture writing.
Now comes his debut novel. Described as “a portrait of a haunted manchild and his messy search for love”, Come Undone promises Huang’s trademark humour alongside thoughtful explorations of identity, masculinity, culture and relationships.
If his previous work is anything to go by, expect something raw, funny and refreshingly honest.

The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale
The Open returns to Southport’s Royal Birkdale this July for the 11th time, making it the Championship’s second most frequently used venue after St Andrews.
It’s a course that has produced more than its fair share of memorable moments, from Jordan Spieth’s remarkable recovery to claim the Claret Jug in 2017 to Pádraig Harrington’s successful title defence in 2008.
This year Scottie Scheffler heads into the week as bookmakers’ favourite, with Rory McIlroy once again among the leading contenders. Away from the fairways, 2026 also sees the introduction of The Open Experiences, a new range of premium ticket and hospitality packages designed to bring spectators even closer to the action.
Whether you’re walking the links or watching from the sofa, it’s still one of the sporting highlights of the summer.
12–19 July.
Jacquemus Romarin Short-Sleeve Shirt
We absolutely adore this gardening-themed Jacquemus summer shirt. Cut from 100% striped cotton jacquard, it’s scattered with colourful vegetable motifs that somehow manage to feel playful without tipping into novelty.
It’s exactly the sort of piece Simon Porte Jacquemus has built his reputation on: relaxed, optimistic and unmistakably Mediterranean.
The bowling shirt is cut in an easy, boxy silhouette with a patch chest pocket and pleated back, making it as comfortable as it is eye-catching. Handsome, airy and packed with conversation-starting potential, it works brilliantly worn on its own or layered beneath a lightweight linen suit.
Whatever you do, just don’t wear it while digging up the potatoes.
