Drake’s – Easyday Collection

Drake’s has announced the launch of its Easyday Collection. Reflecting the brand’s theme of relaxed yet elegant clothing, the collection is a modern wardrobe of everyday classics.

Easyday is an introduction to those who may be new to Drake’s, but is also an effortless choice for those already familiar with the brand. Self-contained yet in step with their overall aesthetic, the collection maintains their commitment to quality and design.

A nuanced and playful collection comprising Italian suiting in jumbo corduroys and chalk stripe flannels, English shirting, and handmade ties cut to an ever-so-slightly slimmer width, Easyday offers the classic Drake’s style at a slightly more accessible price point.

Easyday suiting will come in at £995 (whereas Drake’s main collection jackets are £1095), and the essential shirting (£125) will now be moved to be part of the Easyday collection. Navy-tipped 7cm ties will be £85, and a new shawl collar cardigan in lambswool will be introduced (as opposed to cashmere) for £395.

Made in Naples, the Easyday suiting is made up of unlined and unstructured jackets with a soft, natural shoulder, and a gently suppressed waist, while the trousers have a slightly higher rise, for an overall hint of mid-century style.

All of Drakes’ shirting is made in their own dedicated factory in Chard, Somerset, using single-needle stitching, ethically sourced mother of pearl buttons, and collars and cuffs with a brushed floating interlining. As with all their ties, the Easyday ties are made at their East London headquarters using British and Italian silks, and are also tipped in navy silk, as opposed to having a hand-rolled edge.

The collection’s knitwear is made in the Scottish Borders, and is made up of what the brand considers to be the essentials: lambswool crew neck jumpers, sleeveless cardigans, and chunky shawl collar cardigans. In addition to this, Drake’s also offers checked merino wool scarves, which have been laundered to produce a slightly crinkled handle, as well as classic knitted watch caps.
