Well, Jaguar just entered the electric vehicle market with a metaphorical splash, announcing the release of the I-PACE Concept, Jaguar’s first-ever electric vehicle.

Available in 2018, the I-PACE Concept is an electric performance SUV with a decidedly handsome exterior and a predicted range of more than 220 miles EPA, meaning drivers with an average daily commute will only need to recharge the vehicle once a week.

It benefits from optimised aerodynamics which deliver a low drag coefficient of just 0.29, an interior with cutting-edge technology and premium materials, and electric motors at the front and rear axles which generate a combined output of 400PS and 700Nm of instant torque, delivering sports car acceleration but with the all-weather, all-surface benefits of an all-wheel drive system.

Finally, an electric SUV with some style. Hats off to Jaguar for this one.
