New & Lingwood – Autumn/Winter 2017 Collection

London men’s outfitter New & Lingwood have released their Autumn/Winter 2017 Collection, displaying a wide array of colours, fabrics, and prints.

Tailoring throughout is strong, showing through the roped shoulders, wider cut lapels and bold fabrics in stripes, checks and velvet paisley. A highlight of the collection is the subtle but striking Woodland three-piece suit, which has been created using a ‘cut-about’ technique where each panel is a contrast to the next. The design is deceptively simple, but the juxtaposed cloths can be noticed at a closer look.

The knitwear collection features cashmere in hues of English mustard and Burgundy, and hand-framed Irish knit takes inspiration from an archive of traditional fisherman designs, influenced by the pattern of their nets, available in an array of shades, from dark olive to rust red and cool turquoise.

Exclusive tweed is presented in colours redolent of the Scottish moors, cut through, with rich wine, purple and rust, used to create a jacket, trousers, waistcoat and even a cape, which team with the knits, silk accessories and brushed cotton shirts to create pieces for the more free-spirited, confident dresser.

In keeping with their Scottish theme, a pair of New & Lingwood’s new Chicksan Tartan trousers pair with their latest Devon Boot in antique burnished chestnut calf.

As New & Lingwood’s Jermyn Street store undergoes a renovation, heir shoe collections are brought to the fore. Seven brand new, exclusive shoe styles, from French brogues to country boots and leather-fringed loafers, are also featured in the new collection. Autumn/Winter also welcomes a large Paisley dressing  gown in bright magenta and black or burnt orange.
