For those of us who prefer cross-country running to treadmills and roads, something more substantial and solid on your feet is required. Nike have just released the new Zoom Terra Kiger & Wildhorse Trail Shoe, perfect footwear for runners getting off the track and onto rough terrain.
Nike Zoom Terra Kiger
Lightweight and minimalist, the Nike Zoom Terra Kiger features a trail-specific outsole design for enhanced durability. A sticky rubber center provides wet surface traction and strategically placed lugs with sharp, crisp edges allowing for optimal grip on a range of surfaces. The heel has a rounded edge to roll more naturally with the foot, for comfort and support. The Flywire technology upper integrates with the laces for an adaptive, supportive fit while a mesh inner sleeve wraps the foot for a close, comfortable fit.
Nike Zoom Wildhorse
The Nike Zoom Wildhorse combines the fit of a track spike with the performance of a trail shoe. Its outsole has been designed to make running up and down hills more efficient, lugs under the toe are angled from front to back to ensure grip on the way up, while they are tapered from back to front in the heel for downhill running. Traction and durability comes from the famous Nike Waffle outsole and an anatomical heel, rounded to roll with the ground for a natural range of motions. The upper combines a mesh inner sleeve which again, wraps the foot for a close, comfortable fit while Dynamic Fit technology integrates with the laces for adaptive support. Added comfort comes from the advanced midsole, where compression molded phylon and cushlon ST foams are fused together with heat to create a dual density cushioning system.
