Four years after launching the original Play fragrance, Givenchy have announced the release of a third scent entitled Play Sport.  Sport follows Givenchy’s Play Intense as another interpretation on the word ‘Play’, this occasion alluding to the new scent’s fresh, energising aroma.

Play: a variable word, able to take on a multitude of meanings.

Along with the staple base composition including Amyris, another constant is the face of the Campaign, Justin Timberlake. The multi-talented Timberlake symbolises the spirit of Play in general, but that of the Play Sport fragrance for one reason in particular: his passion for golf. In 2008, he was asked by the prestigious PGA World Tour to host a benefit tournament, renamed the “Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open” in his honour. The following year, saw Timberlake open the first environmentally-friendly golf course in the United States.

The Scent

The Play signature appears throughout: burning, captivating Amyris wood. In the top notes comes the fresh, relaxing trio of a bergamot – mint – ginger fusion.

A refreshing fiery scent with warm, woody accents.

This is carried through the heart of the fragrance with green notes of lemon-tree leaves. The base note features the ‘heady’ Amyris wood coupled with spicy black pepper.
