Tissot Watches – The Heritage Collection

This Autumn, Swiss watchmaker Tissot will be introducing two new Heritage models, as well as an 18kt gold watch to their ever expanding collection.

As the name suggests, The Heritage 1948 Collection dates back to the year in question- a time in which Tissot produced numerous chronograph models for gents. They were destined for “engineers, technicians, doctors and sports men”, who needed a reliable instrument of precision.

The new collection remains true to that philosophy by providing the accuracy the company is known for in a beautiful automatic movement, which can be seen through the meticulously worked see-through caseback.

Original details, such as the three counters on the dial further attest to that precision. Other features remain, such as the two pushers, the minute-track, stud details and the special shaped lugs and leaf hands, reminiscent of their ancestor’s design.

The Heritage Banana Centenary Edition shares memories of an arduous journey between Russia and Le Locle, Switzerland in 1917. A wristwatch exported to Russia in 1916 and sent to Tissot for maintenance a year later inspires this modern range.

Tissot was unable to return it due to the gold watch importation restrictions and outbreak of the Russian revolution in October 1917. The Heritage Banana Centenary Edition is a symbol to commemorate the voyage that took place 100 years ago.

The Tissot Excellence, a watch with an 18kt gold case pure lines and extremely sleek design, cumulates in a timepiece which provides sophistication and elegance.
