Men’s skincare brand Ursa Major place emphasis on style and branding, with a white colour scheme and simple layout. This alone means nothing however, if their products fail to deliver.
Founders Oliver and Emily of Stowe, Vermont in the US have dubbed their range, ‘Super Natural’ – aiming to outperform conventional chemical skin care, naturally nourish the skin and deliver a sensory experience using scent, texture and branding.
I tried the Face Wash, Face Balm, Face Toner and Shave Cream. The range (unsurprisingly) has a strong ‘natural aroma’, reminding me of Neal’s Yard Remedies but with more (just) masculine looking bottles and tubes. Designed with men in mind, I would advise the products are suitable for the most common male skin type; normal to oily.
I am a fan of all natural skincare, but equally not an advocate that ‘chemicals are bad’ – many aren’t and provide for fantastic men’s grooming products but if you’re looking for a chemical free brand or just a good range of men’s products then Ursa Major is worth a look.
