Z ZEGNA – Autumn/Winter 2017 Collection

Z ZEGNA references the past to create a vision for the future in their vintage sport inspired Autumn/Winter 2017 Collection.

This seasonal wardrobe creates an atmosphere fashioned by performance. Touting a late 70’s ski-inspired attitude with a metropolitan edge, the newest Z ZEGNA collection is energetic and contemporary while introducing a new styling lexicon.

On the slopes and in the streets, the Techmerino total look takes a quintessential role this season where layering is key. Combining attributes of merino wool with sophisticated processing and finishing techniques, a Techmerino is a waterproofed fabric that breathes, adapts to the ambient temperature and is quick drying.

Ranging from Techmerino Jersey to luxurious Techmerino Silk, Z ZEGNA converges comfort and performance in a throwback to the Ermenegildo Zegna Skiwear project of the 1970s. The Icon Warmer Ski Suit comes with integrated heating  technology, while the colorful parade of 30 super lightweight sneakers made entirely in Techmerino complete the offer in style.

“To enhance the juxtaposition of tailoring and performance-wear, we created a new wardrobe that meets the active lifestyle of contemporary men while emphasizing a clean, linear and luxurious aesthetic.”

The choice to extend the use of Techmerino in new sophisticated combinations as a central element to the collection is a natural evolution of the Z ZEGNA philosophy, and pays tribute to the textile innovation Ermenegildo Zegna is known for.” – Alessandro Sartori, Ermenegildo Zegna Artistic Director

The diverse colour palette once again pays tribute to the sportswear-infused graphics of the 1970s. A foundation of matte black and woolen white with asphalt grey mélange combines with light camel, natural vicuna and pine leaf green interspersed with key accents of chili powder and mustard.
