Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker is launching three new experimental whiskies from its Blenders’ Batch range- Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Wine Cask Blend, Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Rum Cask Finish and Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Espresso Roast. All three have been designed to form the foundation of whisky cocktails and yet, they can also be enjoyed straight up over ice.
Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Wine Cask Blend is the outcome of an experiment in maturation in wine casks. It’s a fruity Scotch with lively fresh berry, sweet toffee flavours and delicate fragrant aromas. It’s launching in selected countries this month with an RRP from £30. Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Rum Cask Finish- which hints at the flavour of Caribbean rum, with a distinctly smooth texture and Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Espresso Roast- an intense whisky with notes of rich coffee and dark chocolate, fashioned using heavily roasted barley, the blend is infused with roasted malt and spicy wood hints, will be available globally at some of the world’s best bars from October 2017.
