Iffley Road
If you are an avid runner, then you will no doubt appreciate the Iffley Road premise of marrying functionality with style- where you can now run in comfort but with a tailored look. Created by keen runners and couple; Claire and Bill, Iffley Road have moved away from shiny, bright and shapeless running clothing in lycra and skin-tight pieces to offer technical running wear in muted colours that perform as well as they look.
The couple wanted to create running wear they would be happy to keep wearing for a coffee or to the pub after exercising- a feat they have certainly achieved.
The London based outfit is named after a running track in Oxford where Mr. Roger Bannister ran the worlds’ first sub 4-minute mile. They design their entire collection locally and manufacture in Portugal using run-specific fabrics available from the finest European mills.
We tried a Classic Men’s Running T Shirt with bespoke drirelease fabric and the Classic Men’s Running Shorts with technical Italian fabric- both were extremely comfortable to exercise in and looked particularly stylish. Iffley Road is Britain’s first stylish running wear brand.
