Performance Rucksacks: Introducing The New Troubadour Reflective Collection

It’s not easy to combine a great-looking suit and high-vis. This sort of wearable tech tends to look best on early morning joggers, hikers or scout leaders. But from what we can see, it does seem to have been cracked by the boys at Troubadour.

Apex

You probably know the brand, which was set up by two ex-financiers in search of the perfect bag. That in itself seems to be the basis of a lot of start-ups – but this one has legs, which is why it’s still going almost 10 years on. The difference is, these guys actually live the brand. They’ve worked in the City – but they’ve also competed in Iron Man’s, desert marathons, freestyle ice climbing, and one of them has even swam the Channel.

From all-leather, Italian-manufactured weekenders, to beach-friendly totes and technical nylon roll-tops, they know they’re way around luggage – and what makes a bag versatile enough to function from the city to the climbing wall and everywhere in between.

They’ve just introduced the Reflective collection, which is exactly that – an all-black tech nylon rucksack collection containing Bryte-Weave, which contains tiny glass beads that reflect brightly whenever light is directed. Try shining your phone torch at it and it will almost blind you.

There are three cases: the Apex, the Off-Piste and the Slipstream. They all incorporate Troubadour’s signature clean lines and according to co-founder Samuel Bail, “are smart enough for the boardroom, yet tough enough to perform in stormy weather and challenging terrain”. Each features concealed waterproof zips, detachable pouches, anti-microbial linings, lightweight construction and shoulder straps engineered ergonomically to minimise stress on your body’s press points. Safety, comfort and style – ideal for any contemporary commuter.
